This does not appear to be a network or process resource issue with either of my two separate machines, one of which a 10-core iMac Pro, this seems much more clearly to be an isolated yet severe performance degradation of the Maps application specifically. You can seamlessly and smoothly zoom from earth scale down to the finest available resolution for any point on Earth I attempted. I downloaded and installed Google Earth Pro and it has none of these performance issues. Imagery loads in scattered tiles across the screen at an astonishingly slow rate. I upgraded both computers to Mac OS Monterey in the last week. ![]() I became quite accustomed to the rate at which imagery loaded on these machines. I use Maps to access satellite imagery on two different Macs, one of which had been running on Big Sur, and another running on Mojave, several times a week.
